Do you need some help replacing those old negative thoughts?

Before we can change our bodies, we have to change our habits, and to change our habits we have to change our mind! If you are currently unhappy with your state of health or the state of your physique, it is highly likely that you are in need of some ‘re-programming’ to get you to where you want to be.

First of all, ‘the truth will set you free’. You need to learn the truth about food, exercise, and other lifestyle habits, how they affect us and what we really need. There has been a lot of deceitful propaganda from certain money-hungry industries pumped into our brains over the years!

Second, after your beliefs have been changed, you need to reprogram your mindsets about yourself. This takes more work. It is good to remind ourselves why we want to change and review healthy lifestyle tips once in a while, but at the beginning of the process of changing, you will need to daily work on putting new thoughts about yourself into your brain.

You will start to live out what you really think. So it’s important what you think. Your brain does amazing things with what it has, but you need to give it the right input or it has nothing but the old stuff to draw from. The old thoughts are what got you where you are today, so they need to be replaced!

Here are a few statements or affirmations I use to give you some ideas. You can come up with your own based on your own needs.
The idea is to read your statements out loud with conviction to yourself daily, more than once if possible:

  1. I have a strong, healthy body that is fit, firm and fantastic!
  2. I am energetic and full of life!
  3. I love being active!
  4. Moving my body in all kinds of activities and exercises feels good and is fun!
  5. My body is good to me and I’m good to it!
  6. I treat my body with the respect it deserves.
  7. I  feed my body what it really wants and needs – life-giving foods!
  8. Fresh, raw, whole foods taste amazing and make me feel great!
  9. Taking care of me is one of the best things I can do for those I love!
  10. I take time regularly to rest, enjoy beauty and build my spirit.
  11. I am happy, joyful and have a positive attitude!
  12. I’m a ‘Can Do’ and ‘Will Do’ person!

I know it might seem hokey to you, but overcome your ‘resistances’ and give it a try! It’s worked for many people for many years.

I have a statement that I use regularly that may or may not apply to you depending on your beliefs. It’s from the Bible – ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!’

Have fun and keep kicking those nasty old thoughts to the curb!
